Regain Control

If addiction is a problem in your life, our programme will help you regain control. Whether it is your first time having counselling, or you have tried many different ways of quitting before, like me, our twelve-week one-on-one Cognitive Based Therapy (CBT) online counselling programme is designed to give you all the necessary individual help, support and tools to ensure you succeed in achieving your goal once and for all. It worked for me, so it can work for you.

I know this sounds impossible to you, right now, but all I ask is you keep an open mind and work through the programme. It isn’t the twelve steps. It doesn’t rely on a belief in a higher power. We are different.

How are we different?

The highest quality online programme and affordable individual counselling for only £50 per week (billed monthly)

  • Your own assigned British trained, experienced and qualified counsellor who is a registered, practising and insured full member of the BPS, BACP or CMA
  • An online learning management system (LMS) with a full range of interactive and downloadable resources which your counsellor will select and recommend for you.
  • An online support network and community where you can share your experiences with peers.
  • Cognitive based therapy which is a tried and tested goal-focused method and proven to be effective for the treatment of addiction in researched clinical trials

Developing Skills

Over the course of 12 weeks, you will meet with your qualified addiction specialist every week to learn various skills and strategies for quitting your addiction and staying clean. Together, you will come up with a plan that fits your needs. The program involves self-recording to help you identify your addiction patterns and triggers and we have a fully-resourced online learning management system where you will access exercises that you can complete in session with your counsellor, as well as self-assessment tests and assignments you will complete for homework.

You will plan for managing high-risk situations, including interactions with other addicts in your social network. Urges to use/consume are to be expected and you will learn ways to deal with them. Focusing on the negative consequences of addiction will help motivate you to stop. As you experience the rewards of being addiction free and find positive alternatives to your addiction, staying clean will become easier.

You will also learn useful techniques for managing negative emotions and challenging addiction-related thoughts.

Other areas you may work on in this program include how to cope with anxiety and depression, build social support, be assertive, manage anger, and problem solve.
